3 Things I Wish I Knew

Let me share 3 key things I wish I had known when I was younger

1. The first thing I wish I had known when I was younger

There are two forces trying to get your attention and your allegiance, the Devil and God. There are two armies, and they are powerful, relevant today as they were 2000 years ago, and in force, in fact the faster technology connects us humans, the more tools the enemy has to use to draw us in.

The Devil - he is sneaky, and determined, and the stronger we get for God the more he will try and take us back into his camp, he is jealous and cunning.

He has the ability to make his way look SO attractive, but is the ultimate liar. He doesn't care about you or your life, just in getting numbers up in his camp in a false sense of victory against God.

GREAT News and the bad news we get to Choose, every single day, every single moment, sometimes it feels like you don't have a choice but we always do....

2. Second thing is that the knowledge that God created me on purpose, gave me talents skills, unique personality and abilities to be a part of HIS solution in this broken world.

These I call my superpowers - not super because I am super human, but super because when I take myself, my human ordinary self, and I plug myself into HIS power, the power of the Holy spirit, and we join forces I am powerful in him!

Our life's journey becomes about finding out more about WHO God calls us to be, he planned our lives for a purpose and a reason.

God showed me once in worship, when I was going through a period of worrying what people thought of me, he put a cloak over my head and body and I felt him say, 'how would you worship me if it was only us in the room right now, the only opinion of you that matters is mine'

3. The third thing is - I cannot do life without him - I have tried over and over and I failed miserably, sometimes I won for a bit and felt like I was winning, but it never went anywhere meaningful or long-lasting.

As believers we are not immune, LIFE and DEATH happens to us all, there will always be haters, judges, temptations of the enemy, being a Christian doesn't exempt us from that, what it does do though is mean we are NEVER EVER alone.

My biggest revelation as a believer of Christ, is that I am never alone, he never leaves me, even in the bad or dark times.

TRUE Freedom is actually a life with God, because I am free from the things of the dark side, the Devil says true freedom is doing what you want when you want.
